A Short History of MEMOTEXT

Designed by patients for patients.

Commercialized in 2012, MEMOTEXT began as an SMS reminder web-app. From our users, we quickly realized it was being used for medication adherence purposes. This was our opportunity; to leverage patient data and create a better behavioural change methodology, one that automatically created a mobile health intervention that was as unique as its user.

Leveraging data to create interventions that are as unique as the patients.

We began by using subjective behavioural assessments (questionnaires) to build tailored and adaptive messaging and mobile health interventions. Over time we started to consume RX claims data to understand patient medication history and refill patterns to provide an objective source for personalizing messaging content. We also started integrating external sources of health data, such as ambient phone, airnow.gov, wearables and EMR data to both tailor interventions and ultimately provide decision support back to the healthcare practitioner.

Customized for outcomes.

MEMOTEXT’s approach is that everyone is different and people’s needs change over time. Every condition, population and patient journey requires a nuanced set of content and interventions to effectively engage. Our ability to design, consume and subsequently, ‘action’ health-data has allowed us to create validated, efficacious digital health interventions tailored to the individual.

Creation of our digital engagement platform.

Today we are a data-driven, evidence-based, personalized digital engagement platform with a methodology that empowers patients to achieve their healthcare goals and improves the bottom line for healthcare stakeholders. Our passion to do meaningful things with health data and technology drives our company towards machine learning and the power of artificial intelligence to maximize the utility of health data.
