The Balanced Adherence Metric (BAM): a new spin on current methods for calculating adherence with pharmacy claims data

  • April 2016

We are honored to be presenting our Balanced Adherence Metric (BAM) at the upcoming PQA conference, May 18-20 in Arlington, VA.  The goal of developing the BAM was to combine multiple measurements of adherence into a single metric was simple to use.  We believe that this combination approach might produce a more accurate and useful metric, compared to the individual metric alone.  At the PQA, we will be presenting our preliminary analysis in a group of 4700 patients with hypertension or high cholesterol.  We will also be announcing a new academic collaboration to test and validate the BAM.  Hope to see you there!
